Professor Peter Georgiou, 8^th degree black belt in Goju-Te Ryu Karate, was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Professor Georgiou was not only inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame but was also named by the World Profesional Martial Arts Organization as Martial Artist of the Year for 2005 for contributing to the improvement of martial arts in the United States over the past several decades. The event was hosted by Grand Master Aaron Banks, a 10^th Degree Black Belt in Karate and perhaps the most recognized promoter in the United States.
