Through the many years of experience we have determined that the optimal
training cycle, in general, is eight (8) weeks. At the end of the cycle
the practitioner is encouraged to take one (1) full week off completely.
During the "off week" the practitioner is encouraged to partake
in GoJu-Te's therapeutic program. The eight-week cycle is ideal for
GoJu-Te training primarily because within this time frame the artist can
set his sights on achieving certain goals until the next cycle. All
training efforts are intensified as the weeks pass by increasing the work
out loads and/or intensifying the workouts. It makes no sense to be more
specific than this as each individual is treated differently within the
basic GoJu-Te parameters. Following the eight-week cycle and the off week,
it is believed that the practitioner can commence the next cycle in a
higher physical level then the previous cycle.
