Over-training is the number one enemy of development. Over-training harms
athletes at all levels. Beginners, amateurs and professionals all fall victim
of its luring trap: in the zeal to perform the athlete will do more than his
body can handle. No matter who the athlete is he has a "top" limit
beyond which his body cannot handle. When that limit is exceeded injury is
inevitable. No one is immune. Sports medicine has consistently shown that when
an athlete is over-training he is more prone to injury, disease and emotional
swings. When this occurs progress is hampered. In GoJu-Te we forever vigilant
against over-training.
